Are your ingredients organic?
We are committed to making sure certain ingredients are always organic. This includes greens and other vegetables that typically contain residue from pesticides. We adhere to guidelines from the Environmental Working Group to determine which produce must absolutely be organic. Beyond that, we buy organic ingredients over conventional if they are available.
I am on a special diet. Are you able to make individual accommodations?
All of our food is gluten-free, and most of it is dairy-free. We adhere to other dietary preferences, and we label all of our dishes accordingly with health tags. We are happy to discuss individual requests or restrictions. Nutritional information is available upon request.
If you have questions about ingredients or dietary restrictions, contact us.
I have food allergies. How do I know what is safe for me to eat?
We list the ingredients and common allergens for each item, so you can decide whether or not you can order that product. Note that while we do not use peanuts or peanut products in our kitchen, we use most tree nuts. If you have a severe tree nut allergy, we cannot guarantee that any of our dishes are safe for you.
Regarding gluten, none of our recipes contain gluten grains or any ingredients that we know to contain gluten. But while we do not use gluten-containing ingredients at all, our kitchen is not a certified gluten-free facility.
For questions about food allergies, don't hesitate to contact us.
How long does your food last? Can it be frozen, and how should I reheat it?
Our salads and dips will last for up to seven days in the fridge. Our soups should be enjoyed within seven days (also keep in refrigerator), but can be frozen for a few months. Just thaw them overnight, then heat them when you're ready to eat. Our crackers, breads and cookies will keep for up to two weeks in the fridge or an airtight container and can also be frozen. We recommend that you slice the bread first if you plan to freeze it. Then you can take individual pieces and toast them directly from frozen.
What should I do with the packages? Can they be recycled?
Our paper products can be recycled. Please rinse them first.
Regarding our plastic containers and/or lids, we intentionally chose packaging that is biodegradable/compostable and NOT recyclable because of the unreliable recycling practices of many municipalities. Please dispose of these pieces in your trash as they'll biodegrade in the landfill. Our plastic pieces or linings are made with PLA, an environmentally-responsible material made from renewable resources.
